At ASRA, sustainability is at the core of everything we do.

We are firm believers in making shoes that last, both in design and wear.
Our mission is to provide our customers with versatile and easy to wear shoes that will be worn and loved for many years.

Whilst we aren’t perfect, we are constantly looking at new ways to be kind and considerate to our environment and are making many positive steps to be as sustainable as we can.

This is what we are doing so far:

The leather sourced in our products comes from environmentally responsible leather manufacturers, audited and certified via the Leather Working Group protocol.

Our chemical restriction list is based on EU’s regulation REACH.
REACH is a European Union regulation concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and restriction of Chemicals. It aims to improve the protection of human health and the environment through the better and earlier identification of the intrinsic properties of chemical substances.

We only work with responsible factories that have been audited through SEDEX.
The Supplier Ethical Data Exchange (Sedex) is a not-for-profit membership organisation for businesses committed to the continuous improvement of ethical performance within their supply chains to drive convergence in social audit standards and monitoring practices.

The Factories we use are members of the Higg Index.
The Higg Index is an apparel and footwear industry self-assessment standard for assessing environmental and social sustainability throughout the supply chain.

Our shoeboxes and paper are made from recycled cardboard and are 100% recyclable.
